The Canadian Aquatic Biomonitoring Network is a national biomonitoring program which incorporates the collection of benthic macroinvertebrates for biological assessments of streams. This program involves the use of standardized equipment and protocols for assessing aquatic ecosystems. Currently, partners involved in the CABIN program include provincial governments, Parks Canada, Department of Fisheries and Oceans, academia, First Nations, municipalities, students and community groups.
